Meet Hannah Kathryn

Hannah Kathryn is an artist and children’s book illustrator based in the North West of England. She works in a variety of different mediums from watercolour and inks to screen and linoleum printing, and likes to maintain an element of hand drawn in lots of her designs.

Her wallpapers range from floral patterns, birds and bikes to designs for children’s rooms and nurseries. Hannah is influenced by her everyday life and surroundings, as well as by studying the work and techniques of other artists. Those that inspire and influence her most are the illustrator Quentin Blake, printmakers William Morris, Angela Harding and Marthe Armitage and the designer and architect Josef Frank.

When not illustrating or designing Hannah can be found in her beloved garden, her place of escapism and the inspiration and catalyst for much of her work.
